Basic Voting Information
Election Day Voting
Tuesday, November 5th is general election day in Minnesota, this year. The polls will be open from 7 AM until 8 PM.
Check the Minnesota Secretary of State's polling place finder to confirm your voting location.
Registration is allowed at your polling place on the day of the election. Non-registered voters must provide proof of residence. More info is in the FAQ on this page.
Early Voting
Early voting begins on Sept 20th, this year.
Early Voting by Mail
You can request a mail-in absentee ballot on this page at MNVotes.org. Your absentee ballot must be received by election day to be counted. (It may be hand-delivered.) If you have an absentee ballot, make sure that you have the ballot envelope signed by a witness before you mail it! You can now elect to receive an absentee ballot by default for every future state election.
Early Voting in Person
Early in-person voting will be available this fall until the day before the election at Bloomington Civic Plaza, 1800 West Old Shakopee Road. Early voting will take place in the Greenburg Gallery out of the Art Center.
In person voting hours are:
· Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Extra voting hours for the General Election:
Saturday, October 26 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Tuesday, October 29 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Saturday, November 2 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Sunday, November 3 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Monday, November 4 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
